Alert #3

Dunes West Continues Preparation for Hurricane Irma

Governor McMaster has indicated that, based on analysis of the most currently available information, there will be no mandatory evacuation ordered for Charleston County.  The threat remains for impacts from some level of storm surge/higher than normal tides, and high wind gusts, but not to the level requiring a mandatory evacuation at this time.  The governor emphasized that there is always a chance that the track of Irma could change, and that his decision is based on best currently available data.

Additional information will be promulgated as it becomes available.
